The Ladies’ Auxiliary is a separate non-profit that works closely with The Royal Canadian Legion. It began during World War I, when women supported wounded veterans and their families, and became an official part of Legion Branch life after 1926.
Today, members play a vital role by volunteering and providing financial support for Legion programs, contributing to the daily operations and community impact of each Branch.
Ladies’ Auxiliaries are organized at the Branch level. Women eligible for Legion membership can join the Auxiliary, or both organizations.
